I hope you're well

I want to start off by saying that I don't mean this to judge you. I want to help you. Really. I think sometimes we need to hear what we already know from someone else, just to hear how they say it. Maybe we can learn from each other. I hope I can help you and you can leave with a small change in your heart. Hopefully positive.

Imagine: You have done all the research, all the planning and all the preperation. You're excited about these plans and you believe it's going to be a huge success, and you share it with your loved ones in great excitement... and they stomp on it. They list out the reasons how it could go wrong or why you won't make it. You're probably going to be upset. Very much and rightfully so. Now, let's pretend it is a few days later. You've re-planned, re-assessed and you're ready. "This time, this time for sure they'll support me!" is what you think of. But, again, they just don't see what you see.

It is going to hurt. But, you know it's going to work out. You've done everything needed to ensure an 80% success rate, and you're willing to learn! You just can't let this thing go. So, you try it. And you go to your loved ones again, asking once more for only support. But they reject you, again. It hurts when they don't listen. I love my people, and I'd do almost anything for them. And I guess this is why it hurts so very much when they say it. When they tell you everything you already thought of, when they don't mean to stab you through the heart.

Time goes by, and you are so happy that this goal of yours is making steady progress. But, you wish you had a bit of support. So, you once again reach out to your loved ones. You show them the progress, the good results... and they point out your mistakes. They tell you the progress is too slow. They once again tell you how you will never reach it. And you're crushed. You feel all hope is lost and you'll never be able to step into the light ever again.

I'm here today to tell you, that it's alright. It's okay if your loved ones don't support you. It hurts. And you wish with all your might that it wasn't so! But, it is. And after much wrestling with this, I've come to realise that I can't let my goal go... Because I love it. And if I do let it go, then I'll hate myself. And I can't do that. So, I have to keep looking forward. I have to keep on pushing, for the ones I love. For the ones that don't think it is possible. For them, I have to stick to the goal.

What you can do, is take note of the small victories and when you're feeling like you can't move forward, read this. CONTINOUSLY listen to motivation on YouTube or Spotify, and keep on reminding yourself why you started. And how much you love what your building, what you're accomplishing! How far you have already come.

So please, don't give up. The words of others can weigh on us like a thousand tons. But we have to keep pushing. We have to keep trying. And one day, when the light shines on us, it will be proof that the difficult can become reality. Because, maybe that, was all they needed to see to start their own journey. And then you, can be there for them.

And remember, don't think with your heart, we feel with it. We think with our heads. So, we should stay firmly rooted so our passions don't rule over us. We need a good plan to make our goal a reality. I suggest you keep a journal, write all the little victories in there. So that when the bad times come (unfortunately they will), you can read through it for encouragement.

All in all, have fun. And Remember; stay weird, stay curious and stay humble.
