Afternoon Ladies and Gentleman.

If I could have your attention, please.

We all love to look forward, to embrace the future in all its glory. To run with great zeal and to create in full force. And I believe this is the way to love and live. However, there are times when a wise ruler would pause and take the present into account.

We pride ourselves in our great outward appearance, and the way we uphold our own standards. Dress to impress, smell divine and cleanliness is a must. Honesty, integrity and pride is the cornerstone of what we are. Using this idea of a high end lifestyle, so too should our homes and surroundings reflect who we are as a people.

We have beautiful groomed yards, the latest cars and dust-free houses. But, is this all we are? I understand getting your hands dirty isn't the first thought we have in the mornings, but something as special as the reflection of our being, can only be done by yourself. Start by throwing away the obvious garbage. And then, take pictures of the things you wish to hold in memory. There is beauty in simplicity.

Turn your place of rest into a chamber of pleasing sights and smells. Pour your heart into it, and allow your very personality to reflect in your home. Undergoing such an important task is something we have to brave, often alone. Using this mentality, we can succeed in many endeavors we've previously thought to be too strenuous. We don't always need to reign supreme, and sometimes we too can do what needs to be done. What we feel needs a personal touch.

Blindly turning away is not how a ruler would handle a problem. We face life's challenges head on. And win! At times, this may mean to do something yourself. And, you'll feel very accomplished once you take a look at how far you've come. So, go on. De-clutter your space. Take a look at your too-full-shelves and overpiled clothes. Too much... well, things, can be hindering. It can distract you. Look around you. Really look around you. Bear in mind, this can apply to thoughts, relationships and habits. Look into your heart aswell.

And Remember,

Think of the big picture, the end result. Now, choosing to do this task can seem impossible in a single day, and it often is. So, decide for yourself when you'd like to spend a few moments to center yourself. Remove one to three items out of a room that doesn't belong there. Take pride in the daily work you put in to better your environment. And, think of all the gifts you can give to the less fortunate! Let this timeframe spread. Wether it's a week or a year, that time will pass anyway.
